Linda Ann Hamadani, age 75, of Waukee, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2026. She was born on December 2, 1950, to Arden and Gladys (Ludeking) Iverson.
Linda was raised in Waukon, where she graduated from high school and formed many lifelong friendships. She continued her education at Ellsworth Community College before earning her bachelor's degree from Northeast Missouri State University. Linda devoted much of her professional life to helping others, working for many years as a youth mental health counselor, where her compassion and steady presence made a lasting difference in the lives of countless young people and families.
Faith was a cornerstone of Linda's life. She and her family were longtime members of Zion Evangelical United Church of Christ in Waukon, where she found both community and strength.
Linda will be remembered for her warm and welcoming personality, paired with a spontaneous spirit that brought joy to those around her. She was deeply generous, always ready to give of herself, and her kindness left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She found great happiness in gardening-her hostas often grew into a lively "jungle," and her love for pink and red flowers shone brightly in her beautiful peony bushes. Linda also had a natural talent for decorating, taking pride in making her home a place of comfort and beauty.
She was an excellent baker and loved sharing her creations with family and friends. Linda had a special love for animals, especially her cats and dogs, with her beloved dog Charlie holding a special place in her heart. She also cherished time spent traveling, creating treasured memories while visiting loved ones near and far.
Linda is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Robin Hamadani; her sister, Janet Faust; her sister-in-law, Sharon Iverson; her nieces, Janelle and Krissy; and her nephews, Jeff and Todd.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Daniel Iverson; and her brother-in-law, Robert Faust.
Linda's life was one of kindness, faith, and quiet generosity. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
