Garry Lee Freeman

January 13, 1952 — May 25, 2026

Garry Lee Freeman, known as Pete to his family and friends, was born January 13, 1952, in Moberly, Missouri to Joseph William Freeman and Marjorie Idell Freeman (Dale). As was his wish, Pete was in his bedroom, which was always his safe haven, when he passed from this life to join his many loved ones in heaven on Monday, May 25, 2026. His parting advice was to "spread the love". 💙

Pete enjoyed a lively party with family and friends, often with loud music playing and plenty of laughter to share. Music was a special part of his life, and he especially loved spending time at home, alone or with close family, playing guitar, singing, and listening to his favorite songs. Pete was a life-long Pittsburgh Steeler's fan. He took great pride in working on and admiring classic cars. In his healthier years, he found peace outdoors tending to his plants and caring for his yard. Pete liked to stay busy building model cars, repairing and creating things with his hands, and searching for treasures while thrifting. He worked for many years as a building engineer, primarily for Draper & Kramer at Capital Square. He will be lovingly remembered for his famous potato soup, thoughtful handmade gifts, quick sense of humor, and most of all, for making every person he loved feel truly special.

Pete is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marie Christina Freeman (Irwin) "Christina", "Chris", "Tina";
