Bill Deal

(Bill) William Maurice Deal, age 68, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away on April 12, 2026.

Bill was born on September 20, 1957, in Des Moines, Iowa. He spent his career working as a heavy equipment operator, a job that reflected his strong work ethic and hands-on approach to life.

He is survived by his children, Chad Burton (Gentry Burton), Willie Deal, Jami Gibson (Paul Gibson), Brandon Hanson (Chane't Hanson), and Lyndsay Fast; his siblings, Becky Daughenbaugh, Karla Shiffer, Mike Loose, John Loose, and Tom Loose; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Deal and Jeannine Smith, daughter, Amber Burton, as well as his siblings, Mark Loose and Justin Smith.

Bill will be remembered for his huge heart, giving nature, and comforting hugs as well as his love for all things motorcycles, fishing, NHRA, and family. His love ran deep and was the most amazing thing about him.
