Tommy Deane Courtney

Tommy Courtney, 71, of Des Moines, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at the Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines.

Tom was born on February 24, 1952 in Des Moines, Iowa to Deane and Ethyl (Utlser) Courtney. He worked as a handyman for 25 years, owning his own business called Tom's Dew It All.

Tom enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and going junking. He also loved to spend time with his family and friends.

Tom is survived by his children, Samantha (Shawn) Sziber, Becky (Steve) Duncan, Roy (Kari) Ryan, and Rosie (Randy) Sellers; siblings, Martha Courtney, Mike Courtney, Patti (Jim) Moller, and John (Betty) Courtney; 7 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby; and his parents, Deane and Ethyl.
