Tina Bridges

Tina Bridges, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and veteran, passed away on April 1, 2024, in Des Moines, Iowa, at the age of 57. Born on August 27, 1966, in Des Moines to John and Judy Shanks, Tina lived a life filled with love, service, and creativity.

On September 28, 2013, Tina married the love of her life, Ron Bridges, with whom she shared many cherished memories and adventures. Together, they formed a partnership built on love, mutual respect, and unwavering support.

In her leisure time, Tina found joy in simple pleasures, indulging her passion for crocheting, crafting, and immersing herself in the pages of a good book. Her creative spirit shone brightly in the beautiful pieces she crafted and the worlds she explored through literature.

Above all else, Tina's greatest happiness came from spending time with her daughters, grandchildren, and sister. Whether it was sharing stories, laughing together, or simply enjoying each other's company, Tina cherished every moment spent with her family.

Tina will be remembered for her kind heart, infectious laugh, and her unwavering love for those closest to her. Her legacy of love, courage, and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Tina is survived by her loving husband, Ron Bridges; her daughters, Jessica Vaughn and Jami (Chad) Olson; grandchildren, Bevin Vaughn, Jude Olson and Luna Olson; mother, Judy Shanks; sister, Tammy Shanks; brother, Teddy Shanks and a host of other family and friends who will miss her dearly. She now rests in peace, forever remembered and forever loved.

She was preceded in death by her father and siblings, Timothy Shanks and Tracy Shanks.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, April 12, 2024, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm, at Iles Grandview Park Chapel in Des Moines, Iowa.
