Thomas Haugh

Thomas Gene Haugh, 63, of Des Moines, IA passed away peacefully on Nov. 10th, 2024, surrounded by his children and family.

Tom, the youngest of nine children, was born on June 21st, 1961, in Des Moines, IA, to Ann (Coppi) and Thomas Haugh. Born and raised on the South Side of Des Moines, Tom became a Lincoln High School graduate in the class of 1979. Following high school, Tom would start and own a metro delivery company named Arrow Express in 1983. After almost a decade in business, Tom would transition into the printing industry for the next thirty years, working for numerous companies.

Tom enjoyed being outdoors, going on numerous hunting, fishing, and golfing adventures with his family and friends. He also enjoyed playing cards, especially cribbage. However, his favorite hobby was spending time with his family, retelling old stories, and telling new jokes.

Tom is survived by his children: Dannelle (Steve) Dahlhauser, Brandon (Lauren), Tyler (Ashley), Jacob, Jordan, and Jenna; and grandchildren: Chester, Meadow, Macey, Marlowe, Renlyee, Thaddeus, Ambrose, and Zaidyn. Tom is also survived by his siblings: Barry (Tish) Vosler, Debbie (Bill) Edwards, Valerie (Mick) Geer, Marla (John) Amodeo, Vicky (Dave) Camacho, Sheilah (Bob) Scott, and Craig (Denise) Haugh. Tom was preceded in death by his father, Thomas, and his mother, Ann, as well as his infant sister Sheree.

A celebration of life will be held at Seventh Day Advent Church on March 23rd, 2025 at 11am.
