Terry Duveen Jewett

Terry "Chic" Duveen Jewett passed away on August 31, 2024 in Des Moines, Iowa.

Chic was born February 22, 1955 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of James and Lelia Edwards. She graduated from Tech High School and worked for the Durham School Service and American National Can. She absolutely loved shopping, shopping, shopping and more shopping. Chic loved being with her family and friends, and her sister friend Mary Moore (Hill). She is survived by her children, Ashley Jewett, William E. Jewett II, Jamie Sinnah-Yovonie, Jodi Jewett, and Taffini Young; grandchildren, Tyson Wells Jr., Amaris McQuerry, Sienna Jewett, Brittany Jewett, Mark Carter II, Taylor Kennedy, Daziona Jewett, Kennesha Jewett, Jaimelle Slaughter, and Martasha McKenzie; a host of great children; siblings, Brother Randy Edwards and Sister Garnetta Gatewood. Chic created a comfortable, safe, and welcoming home not for just her family but a host of others that became part of family. The extended family included: Roshawn Tate-Jewett, Alicia Dudley, Myisha Dudley, Destiny Wilson, Destiny Smith, Annikka Armstrong, Ryan (Buddha) Benton, and Justice Harris-Jewett.

Chic is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Sister Juanita Barker, Brother Richard Edwards, Sister Willie Mae Manuel, Brother Michael Steward and Brother Armon F. Diggs.
