Terry Milton Haus

Terry Milton Haus, beloved son, father, partner, and friend, was born on March 22, 1988, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Bert Haus and Carolyn (Ives) Fallin. Terry passed away on July 21, 2023, in Des Moines.

Growing up in Des Moines, Terry spent most of his life in the city he called home. He dedicated many years of hard work as a forklift driver and also contributed his efforts at Coke.

Beyond his career, Terry found the most joy in his personal life. His devotion to his son, Alex, was unparalleled, and the time they spent together brought immeasurable happiness to both of them. Alongside his girlfriend, Meaghan Berry, Terry found love and companionship. He embraced the role of a father figure to Meaghan's children, Ava and Jayden, nurturing and supporting them as his own.

Terry was known for his infectious sense of humor, often making those around him burst into laughter. He had a playful spirit, earning the reputation of a jokester and clown, always ready to add some spontaneity to life. Terry loved to make people smile. His loving and generous nature endeared him to many, and his big heart made a positive impact on all who crossed his path. Whenever someone needed help, Terry was there without hesitation, offering his support and compassion.

As a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, Terry enjoyed cheering for his favorite team during football season, passionately following their games and victories.

Terry is survived by his son, Alex, the light of his life; his beloved Meaghan Berry; Meaghan's children, Ava and Jayden; his mother, Carolyn Fallin; his siblings, Matthew Haus, Jeff Haus, Nate Fallin, Randy Haus, Melisa Haus, Andrew (Yolonda) Haus, and Tanner Haus; step-sisters, Natasha (Gary) Carter and Vanessa (Randy) Meyer; along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins, all of whom he cherished deeply.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Melody Marie Haus, whose memory he carried in his heart; step-father, Chester Fallin, who had a special place in his life; maternal grandparents, Anita and Tom Speck, and paternal grandparents, Patricia Davis and William Haus.

Visitation will be on Friday, August 4, 2023 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM at Simplify Cremations & Funerals, 4821 SW 9th Street, Des Moines.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family to help with funeral expenses.
