Suzanne Lee Sandegren

Suzanne Lee Sandegren, age 84, of Des Moines, passed away on February 13, 2026.

She was born on August 2, 1941, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Carl and Thelma (Guthrie) Cornwell.
Suzanne graduated from Saydel High School, and then spent many years working as a Hospital Patient Accounts Administrator at both Des Moines General Hospital and Grandview Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.

In 1963, Suzanne married the love of her life, James Joseph Sandegren, and together they enjoyed over 61 years of marriage.

Suzanne enjoyed reading, putting together puzzles and cooking. She especially loved spending her retirement years on the Mississippi River.

She is survived by her husband, James Sandgren; children, Jill Gales and Jana Eschner; and siblings, Jack Cornwell and Joel Cornwell.

Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents.
