Sherry West

Sherry West age 61 of Des Moines died on May 17, 2025.

She was born on October 3, 1963 to John West and Thelma Zimmerman at Des Moines, IA. Sherry enjoyed shopping, going to the casino, and being with her grandchildren, children, and family. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and getting together with her family. She loved Jesus and many kinds of music. Sherry will be remembered for her kind heart and love of helping all people.

Sherry is survived by Father, John West; Son, Ricky West; Daughter, SherryAnn West; Grandchildren, Tyler and Justin West; Sisters, Rhonda West, Carolyn "Bookie" Stevenson, LisaAnn Stevenson, and MaryLou Muir; Uncles, Gary and Roger West, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

She was a member of Valley Junction Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her Mother, Thelma Zimmerman; Bonus Father, Kenny Zimmerman; Sister, Debbie Burriola; Three sets of grandparents, Uncles, and Aunts.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, 11:00 am at the Simplify Cremations & Funerals, Des Moines, IA, with a visitation starting at 10 am.

Burial will take place following the service at Highland Memory Gardens.
