Sheila Lynne Everling

Sheila Lynne Everling, 71, of Des Moines, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2023, at the MercyOne Hospice House in Johnston.

Burial will be in Norwalk Cemetery in Norwalk, Iowa, where she lived and graduated from high school, before moving to Phoenix, Arizona in 2001.

Sheila was born August 13, 1951, in Creston, IA, the daughter of Ray and Maxine (Johnston) Everling.

She worked for Oxford Life for 20 years.

Sheila was a huge genealogy fanatic.  She had been tracing the family history for decades.  Sheila loved to travel, camp, shop, read and visit with her friends and family.  She loved and spoiled her dogs when she was a pet owner.  Sheila had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh.

Sheila is survived by her niece and caregiver, Amy Van Baale (Josh), nephews, and several great-nieces & nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Sharon Fletcher and Susan Conner.
