Shane Anthony Simmer

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Shane Simmer, on March 20, 2026. Born on July 25, 1977, Shane graced the lives of many with his friendly and kind-hearted nature.

Shane's life, though cut to short , was about the joys of the simple life. He loved to be outdoors hunting or fishing , at home on his couch watching football, particularly his favorite team, the Pittsburgh Steelers or in his bed reading a good Louis L'Amour book .

Shane was most proud of his son, Devon Simmer, who survives him. He found immense pride and satisfaction in fatherhood and cherished every moment of it. A son's love was his greatest achievement and one he held close to his heart till the very end.

Shane is also survived by his cherished family; step mom Kelly Simmer , his sister, Shelly (Jay ) Willis; and his brothers, Shawn (Teresa ) Simmer, Joshua (Tyke ) Simmer, Justin ( Liz ) Simmer, Tyler (Lindsey ) Simmer, Jordan (Hava ) Simmer, Charles ( Elana ) Follett, Joseph ( Jasmine ) Follett. Many remember Shane for his witty and humorous demeanor and his thoughtfulness ready to lend a helping hand.

Shane was preceded in death by his father, Bob Simmer and mother Cindy Barrow, trusting in the belief that they are together once again.

In the face of this loss, we remember Shane, not with the sorrow of his parting, but with the warmth of his lived moments and his love that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
