Sebastian Kane Barton

Sebastian Kane Barton, 32, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away on March 16, 2026.

Born on July 4, 1993, in Durham, North Carolina, Sebastian was the son of Alan and Janell Barton. He grew up in Corydon, Iowa, where he formed many lifelong memories and connections.

Sebastian worked in the service industry and as a laborer throughout his life. He was known for his witty and unique personality, often bringing humor and individuality to those around him. He had a deep love for insects, sports, music, and especially cherished the time he spent with his brothers.

Sebastian is survived by his father, Alan (Janell) Barton; his sisters, Candace (Jade) Reed and Ciarra (Admir) Barton; his brothers, Joshua (Jessica) Wilcox, Gunner (Lacey) Barton, and Mason (Maddy) Bailey; as well as his beloved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Phyllis and Kenneth Barton, Nancy and Dennis Ryan, and his brother, Zachary Barton.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday April 4th, 2026 at Windsor Presbyterian Church, 6301 University Ave, Windsor Heights, 50342, at 12:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, all donations provided will be donated to a drug and alcohol recovery center in Sebastian's honor.

Sebastian will be remembered for his energy, his loyalty, his love for family, and the way he made life fuller just by being him. His absence leaves a space that can never be filled, but his love will continue to live on in all who knew him.
