Scott Donald Griffen

Scott D. Griffen passed away on September 23, 2026, at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. He was 63 years old.

Scott was born on December 14, 1962, in Ames, Iowa. He graduated from Ames High School, and was a longtime resident and business owner in Ames.

Those left to treasure his memory include his daughter Zoey Riordan; mother, Jean Griffen; sisters, Kit (Lachlan) Smith and Beth Smith; brothers, Len (Sue) Griffen, Paul (Ellen) Griffen and Riley (Janelle) Newell: fifteen nieces and nephews, and eleven great- nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
