Samuel Lee Heard, Jr

Samuel Lee Heard Jr was born on August 30 1960 to Samuel Lee Heard Sr. and Donna Jean (Clay) Heard. He graduated from Des Moines Technical High School and went on to join the United States Navy and received the Expeditionary Medal. Samuel, affectionately known as (June) was an avid fisherman and loved to spend time on the water. He enjoyed reading his bible, music, and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his father Samuel L Heard Sr, stepmother Patricia Howe- Heard, siblings, Bonita L. (Marvin) Heard-Harris, Michael L. Heard, Janine A. Heard, Kevin T. Heard, Pamela J. Heard, Youlanda M. (Martell) Bolden, Amos E. Heard, Jr (Monica)., Michelle D. Heard, and Mary L. (Anthony) Wells. His aunt Annette Heard, close special family friend Joleen Wolf. His children Destiny, Samuel Lee III, Tremere, Jamal, seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a host of, nieces, nephews, other extended family, and friends.

Samuel was preceded in death by his mother Donna Jean (Clay) Heard. Grandparent's  Thomas and Helen (Cross) Clay Sr, Jack C. Heard and Mina L. Heard Sr, and Marguerite E Howe. Uncle's Robert Fowler, Malcom Guinn, Thomas N. Clay, Bernard B. Clay, James A. Clay, Jack Heard Jr, Donell Heard, Jesse Heard. Aunt's Rose A. Edmonds, Darlene Woods, Dorothy M. Clay, Katherine Clay, Carol Craig Clay, Nora L Fowler, Shirley Guinn-Cotton. Stepfather James Oliver Lee, and brother Preston Cecil Scott.
