Samuel McKinley Brown

Samuel McKinley Brown, 80, of Carlisle, Iowa, passed away peacefully at his home on August 7, 2026. Samuel was born on August 1, 1946, in Des Moines, Iowa, and graduated from Pleasantville High School.

Samuel spent many years working at Iowa Lutheran Hospital before retiring after a 40-year career. His decades of service reflected the dedication and strong work ethic he carried throughout his life.

On June 21, 1980, Samuel married Margie Sue Berry. Together, Samuel and Margie shared more than 46 years of marriage, building a life together in Carlisle and creating many years of memories side by side.

Samuel is survived by his loving wife, Margie Brown; son McKinley (Dannielle) Brown; daughters, Mandi (Adam) Hutchins and Jennifer Brown; 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Berkley Brown and Elberta Saffell.

Samuel will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
