Ruth A. Stout

August 14, 1930 — February 26, 2025

Ruth Arlene Stout (Ruttan) passed away peacefully at her home in Des Moines, Iowa on February 26, 2025 at the age of 94.

Ruth grew up in Eddyville, Iowa and graduated from Eddyville High School in 1951. She later moved to Des Moines, Iowa where she resided for over sixty-five years and worked for C.E. Erickson. She took pride in her gardening and it showed as her home was recognized by the city of Des Moines. She also loved shopping and spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Ruth is survived by her son Carl (Victoria) Stout, daughter Rose Beeson, Two grandchildren Bobbie Jo (Dan) Gregory, Joe (Mindy) Stout, four great grandchildren Cali, Tyler Gregory, Hayden, Alex Stout, her brother Willis Ruttan and sister Jean (Leonard) Beltzer.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Glen Stout, her parents Dale, Rose Ruttan and many sisters and brother.

Paul Barriers will be Carl Stout, Tyler Gregory, Zachery Wright, Patrick Blackford Jr., Joe and Hayden Stout.
