He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Alva Parkhurst; his mother, Vivian Ruth (Hardman) Tilley; his step-father, Ernest Elvin Tilley; and his brother, Larry Dean Parkhurst-Tilley.
Russell was laid to rest at Glendale-Masonic Cemetery in Des Moines with the rest of his family.
