Ruby Geneva Courtney

Ruby Geneva Courtney, 75, of Des Moines, IA passed away peacefully on December 26th, 2023 at Taylor House Hospice.

Ruby, daughter of Beldon and Etta Wilson, was born at Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines on November 27, 1948.

She was a CNA for 38 years. She enjoyed Bingo and spending time with her family.

Ruby was preceded in death by her mother and father, her 3 sisters; Marietta Miller, Pam Blackford, and Jeri Wilson, her 2 brothers; Richard and Jack Wilson, and her niece; Shani Jordan.

Ruby is survived by her husband; Tommy Dean Courtney, of Des Moines, and her 4 children; Becky (Steve) Duncan of Lowden, Roy Dean (Kari) Ryan of Marshalltown, Rosie (Randy) Sellers of Carlise, and Samantha (Shawn) Sziber of Des Moines, as well as 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
