Ronnie J. Fuller, age 79, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away suddenly on December 16, 2025, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.
Ronnie was born on August 22, 1946, in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Leo Frank and Leona Rosalie Ann (Fatino) Fuller. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1964. Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army, serving honorably and deploying to Vietnam before his discharge after faithful service.
On December 31, 1993, Ronnie married the love of his life, Pamela Kasner, in Des Moines, Iowa.
After returning from military service, Ronnie worked for many years as a press operator at R.R. Donnelley, formerly Meredith Corporation. He was a fantastic cook and an avid sportsman who loved golf and excelled at the game. He played baseball and wrestled in high school and continued his love of athletics by playing softball in his adult years. Ronnie was also known as a social butterfly, working at a local bar where he built many lasting friendships. Above all, he was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Ronnie is survived by his wife, Pamela Fuller; children: Tammy Fuller, Brad (Kristi) Fuller, and Jeremy (Lornalyn) Fuller; step children, Joseph (Angela) Lathrop and Charles Lathrop; grandchildren Mackenzie (Josh) Johnson, Gage Fuller, Zachary Fuller, Michael and Genevieve Lathrop and Christian and Noah Fuller; and Jessica and Abigail Lathrop and Sean (Sydney) Lathrop; great-grandchildren: Vivienne and Mabel Johnson and Bradyn, Addilyn, Gabe, and Quinn; brother: Chuck (Dave) Fuller; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Leona Fuller, and his brother, Keith Fuller.
A graveside service with military honors will take place on January 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Adel, Iowa.
