Ronald Smith, Sr.

Ronald G Smith Sr, 70, of Des Moines, IA passed away on July 6th unexpectedly.

Ronald was born on July 20th, 1954 to Roy and Erlene Smith in Des Moines, IA. After high school, Ronald joined the Marine Corp and traveled to many different places. He was a proud veteran.

Ronald was a proud father to Scott Smith (Chanel), Adam Smith (Erica), Jennifer Smith, Veronica Parmentier (Chris) as well as a stepfather to Tyler Shelton (Amy), Andrew Shelton and Cecilia Hammond (William). He had many grandchildren whom he loved very much.

Ronald is preceded in death by his son Ronnie Smith, his mother Erlene Smith and his father Roy Smith.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to assist in end of life expenses.
