Robert Timothy Edmonds, Sr.

Robert Timothy Edmonds Sr. was born May 4, 1952, in Woodward, Iowa, the son of Maude Madeline (Fraizer) Edmonds and Clyde George Edmonds.

Robert lived his formative years in Des Moines, IA, and attended North Des Moines High School before joining the workforce. Robert worked for Firestone Tires, Lincoln Public Schools, before retiring from Lincoln General Hospital. For leisure, Robert was an avid fishermen and lifelong member of the Ebony Wheels Motorcycle Club.

Robert leaves to cherish his memory his wife Adrienne Edmonds, sons, Robert Timothy Edmonds Jr. and Andre Robert James Edmonds, his daughter's, Neejaa Nicole Edmonds, Angela Deon Edmonds, and Alexiss Lindsay Edmonds, his grandchildren Robert Edmonds, Rashad Edmonds, Darian Crawfords, Kehlani Edmonds, Arnell Edmonds, and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

Further, cherishing Robert's memory are his siblings, Clyde (Dee) Edmonds, Mike (Linda) Edmonds, Terry (Penny) Edmonds. Claudette D. Edmonds, Nadine (Bob) Cole, and Teresa Dixon. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Bill Dixon, and sisters Kathleen Buckner, and Charlene Burrell.

He will be remembered as a wonderful father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend to all who knew him.

The family would like to give special thanks to those that sent prayers, flowers, and cards.

A viewing will be Tuesday, April 4, 2023 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Maple Street Missionary Baptist Church, 1552 Maple Street, Des Moines, IA 50316. The service will follow at 1:00 pm at the church with a repast to conclude.
