Robert Allen

Robert Lee Allen, 63, took his last breath on Thursday, May 23rd, 2024, at Iowa Methodist  Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. Robert had an aggressive battle with oral cancer.

Robert was born on April 16th ,1961in Jacksonville, North Carolina and is the son of Thomas  H Allen II and Rosalind Allen. Robert enjoyed cooking, so he spent his working years doing  what he loved. Robert was employed at UnityPoint for over 19 years.

Robert met the love of his life Lisa Marie Allen over 30 years ago and they have been  inseparable ever since. The two married on June 15th, 1992, and had 4 children together;  Austin, Krista, Susan, and Clifford.

Robert enjoyed cooking, fishing, and drinking an ice-cold beer. Robert enjoyed zooming  around in his little gold Toyota truck. His little truck will forever be known as BRTSTOY. He  was an avid San Francisco 49ers fan. Robert enjoyed spending time with his family and  making everyone laugh. Robert was an amazing grandpa and loved all his grandchildren.  Robert will always be remembered as being kind, gentle, patient, and loving.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Lisa Allen; father, Thomas H Allen II;  children, Austin Allen, Krista (Dylan) Wieser, Susan (Sawyer) Lisk, and Clifford Allen;  several grandchildren, sisters; Lorrie Cottrill, Diana Newhouse, and Cherie Allen Kuebler;  Brother-in-Law, Kenny Newhouse; several cousins; several nieces and nephews; and many  friends.

Robert is proceeded in death by his mother, Rosalind Allen; brothers, Thomas Steven Allen,  Robert Blake Allen; sister, Kathy Allen; mother-in-law, Patricia Davis;
