Rickey D. Wilson

Rickey D. Wilson, Sr. passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on October 25, 2023. A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm, November 9, 2023 at Iowa Veterans Cemetery. Rickey's final resting place is at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery Columbarium.

Rickey was born August 6, 1947 in Des Moines, Iowa. He entered the Marine Corp and proudly served his country including in the Vietnam War. Rickey enjoyed a cold beer, Nascar racing, driving semi, football, fishing and hunting. He will be missed by many family and friends.

Rickey is survived by his significant other, Sally Bernard; his children, Rick (Geri) Wilson and Gary (Jeanine) Wilson; their mother, Jeanie Wyant; ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; and his siblings, Frank, Kathy, Tim and Julie. He is preceded in death by his parents, Betty and Orval McNeeley and his brother, Orval and his sister, Jackie.
