Richard Eugene Prettyman

On the Afternoon of February 25, 2024, Richard "Rick" Eugene Prettyman passed away Peacefully in the presence of family. After a hard fight with Cancer at Broadlawns Medical Center, IA. Richard was 76 years old.

Richard was Born Guthrie Center, IA on May 28, 1947 to Opal and Howard Prettyman. He spent most of his years around the Metro and graduated at North High School in 1965.

Richard loved his dog Babygirl, and always had to have his radio playing. He spent a lot of time with his Granddaughters, working on many projects, all his cars and loved church every Sunday.

Richard was a active member of his community and would do anything to help others. Always wanted to save the planet by going Green. He was a friend to all.

Richard is preceded in death by his Mother Opal, and his Father Howard.

He is Survived by His Children, Nathan, Hannah, Luke, and Levi. His grandkids, Keylee, Alexis, Makayla, Teddy, Brooklyn and many Friends.

A Celebration Of Life will be held on Saturday, March 9 2024, at 3 p.m. at Trinity Las Americas United Methodist Church, Des Moines, lowa. A private burial of cremains will be held in Guthrie Center at a future date.
