Richard Leroy Foster, Sr.

Richard Leroy Foster Sr, 72, of Inglewood, CA, passed away on June 14, 2024 in Des Moines, Iowa. He was born on July 20, 1951.

Richard served in the Marine Corps during his military career.

He was a proud, loving and caring man, known for his stubbornness at times. He was a dedicated painter for over 10 years. After retiring, he worked at Walmart building bikes and grills before having to quit due to lung cancer. Despite his battle with cancer, Richard enjoyed his retirement.

In his leisure time, Richard was an avid NASCAR fan and a supporter of Florida Gator sports. He was known for showing up early to any function and engaging in lively conversations.

Richard is survived by his son, Richard Foster Jr, daughters Jennifer Willard and Amanda Foster, brothers James "Squeak" Foster, Glenn "Luke" Foster, Robert Moore, and Danny Snethen, sisters Helen Sloan and Carol Tucker, grandchildren Shelby Foster, Harley Streeper, Preston Willard, Angel Stansbury, Janet Stansbury, Elijah Willard and Jack Foster, as well as great grandchildren Camila Willard, Ezekiel Willard, and Eleanor Foster. Many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his daughter Teresa Foster, father Glenn Foster, mother Lorraine Hansen, step mother Darlene Foster, and brothers Fred Foster and Martin "Marty: Foster.

Richard Leroy Foster Sr will be cremated with no services.
