Richard Blake Brosofski, loving father, son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on December 5, 2025, in the arms of his mother after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 38 years old.
Above all else, Richard was an extraordinary father. His daughter, Josephine Brosofski, was the center of his world and the greatest joy of his life. Everything he did was guided by his love for her-her laughter, her smile, and her presence gave him strength even during his most difficult days. Richard's devotion to Josephine was unwavering, and the bond they shared was one of deep love, pride, and purpose.
Richard faced cancer with remarkable courage, strength, and resilience. Though his journey was filled with challenges, he never walked it alone. He was surrounded by overwhelming love, prayers, and encouragement from family, friends, and a vast community of supporters who followed his journey on TikTok. The outpouring of compassion and faith lifted him during his darkest moments and reminded him daily that he was never alone.
He passed from this life peacefully, held by his mother, wrapped in love-an ending that reflected the way he lived: surrounded by care, compassion, and family.
Richard will be remembered for his heart, his strength, his honesty, and the love he gave so freely. His legacy lives on most powerfully through his daughter, Josephine, and through the countless lives he touched by sharing his story, his faith, and his fight.
Richard is survived by his beloved daughter, Josephine Brosofski; his mother, Michele Brosofski; his brother, Steven Blake; his grandmother, Josephine Brosofski; and his extended family including the Brosofski Family, the Blake Family, the Luther Family, the Wilson Family, and the Boyer Family
Richard is now in the Kingdom of Heaven, reunited with loved ones who went before him-his brother Jeffrey Blake; his father Steven Blake Sr.; his grandmother Katherine Blake; his grandfather Richard "Mike" Blake; and his grandfather Donald Brosofski. We take comfort in knowing he is welcomed home, healed, and at peace in the presence of the Lord.
As Scripture reminds us:
"Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." - Matthew 5:4
Though our hearts grieve, we hold fast to God's promises and the hope of eternal life. Richard's faith, love, and strength remain a guiding light for all who knew him. His life stands as a testimony that even in the hardest seasons, God is faithful-and that death is not the end, but a homecoming.
