Raymond L Mallory

Raymond L. Mallory, age 87, of Des Moines, IA passed away peacefully on March 3, 2025 at his home with his family by his side.

Raymond was born on September 24, 1937, the son of Leonard and Mildred (Thompson) Mallory. Raymond attended and graduated from the Des Moines area and began his career in metal recycling at a young age. Raymond had a strong work ethic which held true until an injury about 6 months ago prevented him from working. Raymond was united to marriage to Violet Kyle in Des Moines, IA on January 15, 1956. To this union, 5 children were born. Raymond M, Timothy, Laura, Bonny, and Sheila. Through the years, Raymond enjoyed building stock cars. His biggest passion was the outdoors. He was an avid deer hunter and fisherman in his younger years and loved to have the children involved. His children were his whole life.

Preceding him in death was his parents; wife: Violet in 2014; daughters: Bonnie Gieseke and Sheila Broome; brothers: Bill, Larry, Tom, and Dean; sisters:Barbara Langerak, Sandra Martinez, and Teresa Ramsey.

Survivors include his children: Raymond M. Mallory and his wife Carla, Timothy Albert Mallory, Laura Lynn Pittman and her husband David; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brother: Denny Mallory; Nieces: Connie and Carrie; Nephews: Mike and Steve, as well as several other nieces, nephews, and family. A close friend and stock car driver for Raymond: Larry Beaner.
