Ray E. Holman, 82, of Des Moine, Iowa, passed away at his home on Sunday, January 28, 2024 after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia.
He was born in Des Moines, IA on October 31, 1941 to Alton Ervin Homan and Mary Ellen (Strange) Homan. He married the love of his life, Linda Nelle in Dunlap on October, August 4, 1990. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Mary Homan; brother, Tom Homan; brother-in-law, Melvin Hayes; stepdaughter, Jean Aldridge.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Linda, of Des Moines; sons, Richard Homan of Des Moines and Brian Homan of West Des Moines; daughters, Rochelle (Vince) Pritchard and Ronna Miner of Indianola; step-son, Jim Dunlap of Des Moines; step-daughter, Crissy (Keith) Kusch of Blaine MN; sisters, Louise Hayes of Des Moines and Cheryl (Dewey) Miller of Runnells; sister-in-law, Cathy (Harold) Clark of Chariton; brother-in-law, Ronald (Kim) Hayes of Laurel; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews
Ray enjoyed wheeling and dealing with people at the mini car swap meets he set up at, to sell car parts. Ray loved cars, animals, gambling, and pie! At Thanksgiving, there always had to be an extra pumpkin pie made just for him. He would take the whole pie and fork and eat it in one sitting.

A Celebration of Life supper will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Woodland Hills Church of Christ, 2484 SE 68th Street, Pleasant Hill, IA.
Family and friends are invited to us anytime, from 3:00 PM – 6:30 PM for an informal supper and to share memories.
Interment will be at the Warren-Powers Cemetery, Rural Runnels, at a later date.
