Randy Thomas

It is with the most heavy of hearts we announce the passing of Randy Joe Thomas on June 11th, 2025. Born on September 27th, 1964 in Des Moines, Iowa. Randy was a father to his only child, Presley Thomas (Tyler Miller), and loved his only grandchild River Ray Miller with his entire soul. He was the youngest son to his parents (Sandra and Clyde Thomas), an uncle, cousin, and best friend to everyone he ever met. He was a mastered woodworker, the most creative soul that could incapsulate anything from your imagination. He built bar tops, refinished the iCubs lockers, treated 100 year old wood at Iowa State University and so much more. He loved candy (his Sprees were life!) blue slushies, plain cheeseburger, chicken soup, and coca-cola. He had a green thumb like no one I've ever met, grew the most beautiful garden with raspberries and trees everywhere. He looked like a different person every time you saw him, he could also grow a duck dynasty beard in a matter of a week! Music and movies were everything to him, he should have been a rockstar (but he couldn't play guitar!) I cannot even begin to look through every song that was sent to me by my Dad, there are so many. Knowing he maybe had the chance to meet Elvis on his way to the stars brings me the most comfort.

My dad was my best friend. He struggled with life as we all do, but he was the most beautiful person, had the best soul of anyone I've ever met. I will miss him for the rest of my life. Coolest person I've ever met. I'm proud that I'm Randy Thomas' daughter. We love you our drugstore cowboy.
