Randall Robert Farrell, passed away at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines on July 7, 2023. Randy touched the lives of those around him with his free spirit and zest for life.
Born on February 7, 1958, in Des Moines, Iowa, Randy was the son of Richard and Lucille (Harvey) Farrell. He attended Brooks Middle School. Randy began his career at ADM Mill, where he dedicated his time and talents.
Randy had an insatiable love for nature and found solace in long walks, admiring flowers, and embracing the beauty of the world around him. He was a free spirit who enjoyed being in the company of others, always seeking to uplift their spirits and bring joy to their lives. Whether it was rocking out to his favorite tunes, or indulging in spirited parties, Randy knew how to make any moment memorable.
Known for his entertaining storytelling, Randy had a knack for captivating audiences, even if his tales weren't always rooted in truth. His infectious enthusiasm and vibrant personality brought smiles to the faces of all who listened. Randy cherished the time he spent with his family, creating lasting memories.
In addition to his passion for life, Randy held a deep faith in God, which provided him with strength and comfort throughout his journey. He found solace in his spiritual beliefs and embraced the divine guidance that shaped his character.
Randy is survived by his children, Dawn Farrell, Brandon Farrell, and Curtis Farrell; grandchildren, Kesley Barten, little Brandon Farrell, and Clarissa Estebrock; great-granddaughter, Camelia Gomez-Farrell and sister, Karen (Randy) Haag. He also leaves behind a multitude of friends who will miss his infectious laughter and genuine kindness.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Lucille Farrell, and his brother, Rich Farrell.
