Pauline Grace Ceron, beloved wife, devoted mother, and treasured friend, passed away on April 25, 2024, at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. Born on February 20, 1966, in Simi Valley, California, Pauline brought joy and warmth to all who knew her.
The daughter of Larry Maxwell Barrett and Patricia Brandenburg, Pauline's upbringing was marked by adventure and familial love. She married the love of her life, Ruben Ceron, in 1985, and their union was a testament to enduring love and partnership.
Pauline's zest for life was evident in her many passions. She found solace and joy in crafts, nurturing her garden, and immersing herself in the great outdoors. A culinary artist in her own right, Pauline loved to cook. Her culinary creations were always made with love.
Pauline lived in many different places across the country during her childhood, however, it was her summers spent in New Mexico with her grandmother that held a special place in her heart, filled with memories that would last a lifetime.
Pauline had a special affinity for cats, finding companionship and comfort in their presence. Her love for animals reflected her nurturing spirit and compassionate nature.
Above all, Pauline's greatest joy was her family. A devoted wife and mother, she poured her heart and soul into creating a loving and supportive home. Family gatherings were a highlight, filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories. Pauline's outgoing nature and genuine interest in people endeared her to all who crossed her path. Her warmth, kindness, and infectious smile left an indelible mark on the hearts of those she met.
Pauline Grace Ceron will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her boundless love, unwavering kindness, and radiant spirit. Though she may no longer walk among us, her legacy of love and laughter will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ruben Ceron; children, Ruben Jr. (Carrie), Ryan, and Kylee (Alex); grandchildren, Damian, and Emma; brothers, Larry Barrett, and Scott Barrett; sister, Kathy Smith; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends who will carry her memory with them always.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
There will be a celebration of life for Pauline at a time and place yet to be decided.
