Patrick Charles Downs

Patrick Charles Downs passed away on October 19, 2025. He was born on December 20, 1954, to Charles and Patsy Downs.

Patrick proudly entered the United States Air Force on August 10, 1973, where he served as a Medical Service Specialist. Following his military service, he pursued a career in medical field education at the VA, where his dedication and compassion made a lasting impact on those around him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Patsy Downs, and his brother, Bart Downs.

Patrick is survived by his sisters, DeAnn Baxter and Debra Pettyjohn, along with many other family members and friends who will forever remember him.

Patrick had many passions throughout his life, including dolphins, photography, gardening, cooking, and interior decorating. He was creative and artistic, always bringing warmth and beauty into everything he did.

Service details will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to his sister Debra to assist with burial expenses, as Patrick will be laid to rest beside his parents at Oak View Cemetery in Albia, Iowa.
