Patrick John Bohlen

Patrick John Bohlen "PJ" passed away November 26, 2024 at MercyOne Medical Center. He was born in St. Paul, MN where he lived until he moved to Des Moines. PJ worked many different jobs and was very capable at them all. He suffered a stroke and retired from Capitol Sanitary Supply (CapSan) where he was a technician, fixing all kinds of machinery.

After his retirement, he kept busy by recycling scrap metal. He loved the Iowa State Fair and would have gone everyday! PJ enjoyed old TV shows, especially the Three Stooges and Svengoolie. He was an animal lover; dogs, Buddy, Baby Girl and Rocky; cats, Sugar, Charlie and Smokey. PJ was a Nascar fan, Richard Petty was his favorite driver. PJ liked motorcycles and Dodge vehicles, especially his Dodge Ram truck. His motto was "Grab Life by the Horns" and so he did.

He will missed by all who knew him.
