Patricia Allen

Patricia Joan Allen, age 34, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away on January 9, 2026, in the city where she was born on February 18, 1991.

Patricia was the beloved daughter of Richard and Aimee Newcomb. She was a true free spirit with a deep passion for art and creativity. Arts and crafts were among her greatest joys, and she found comfort and expression through her artistic talents. Her creativity reflected her gentle soul and her unique way of seeing the world.

Patricia had an enormous heart, especially when it came to animals. She deeply loved her pets, which included cats, dogs, and three ferrets, each of whom held a special place in her life. Her compassion for animals extended beyond her own home-on one memorable occasion, she found a stray kitten and made sure it was cared for and placed in a loving new home. Acts of kindness like this were simply part of who Patricia was.

Known for her great sense of humor, Patricia could bring laughter and light to those around her. Her warmth, generosity, and caring nature left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

Patricia Joan Allen will be remembered for her creativity, her love for animals, her free spirit, and her kind and humorous heart. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

Patricia is survived by her son, Rhyland; parents, Richard and Aimee Newcomb; brothers, Richard and Caden; sisters, Charlene (Alex) and Caitlyn; Aunts, Jesseca (Pauline) Robertson; Amanda (Shawn) Chipp, Tina (Tom) Smith, Rachelle (Chris) Suedmeier, and Lucinda Martin; nephew, Landon; nieces, Elayna and Emilia; her best friend, Baby Cat; and many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her Grandma Patricia Joan Martin; and Grandma Kathleen Ann Leydens.
