Pamela L Turner

Pamela Lynn Turner gracefully passed away peacefully at Taylor House on September 19, 2024. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 30, 2024 at Greater Love Church of God in Christ, 1440 DeWolf Street in Des Moines.

Pamela Turner, born on August 30, 1959, to Robert and Geraldine Turner in Des Moines. A proud graduate of East High School, Pamela was a beacon of creativity and artistry. Her poetic spirit was evident in the many beautiful poems she penned, showcasing her remarkable command of words.

Pamela's love for the outdoors led her to frequent Iowa's picturesque lakes and parks, where she found joy in camping and nature's embrace. A true collector at heart, Pamela had an eye for interior design, turning everyday objects into works of art. Her home was often filled with laughter and camaraderie as she played board games with family and friends, always donning her signature army print attire.

An ardent animal lover, especially of dogs, Pamela's compassionate nature extended to all creatures. Deeply family-oriented and devoted to her faith, she found solace in the Lord and gospel music, which was a constant source of inspiration and comfort.

Pamela's legacy of love, creativity, and devotion will forever be cherished by those who knew her.

Pamela is survived by her daughters Chioma Ahiakwo of Texas and Mma Ahiakwo of China; and siblings, Belle Watson, Terry Watson, Robert Turner, Deborah Turner, Francene Turner, and Greg Turner all of Des Moines and many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Edward Watson, Larry Turner, Gary Turner and Glen Turner.
