Norman Brackney

Norman Dale Brackney, 66, of Waukee, Iowa, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2025, in Des Moines, Iowa. Born on November 11, 1959, in Des Moines, Norman was the cherished son of Montie and Cathryn Brackney.

A dedicated truck driver for Van Meter, Norman navigated the highways with the same passion and precision that he brought to all aspects of his life. Known for his generous spirit, he cherished time spent with his family and friends, where laughter and love flourished. Norman had a keen eye for photography, often capturing life's most beautiful moments. He was also an avid cyclist, proudly riding with his team, Team Yoyo, and relishing the freedom that the open road provided.

Norman is survived by his loving daughter, Briar Brackney; his son, Cole Brackney; and his beloved grandchildren, Holden, Heath, and Lola. He is also survived by his siblings, Larry Brackney, Alan Brackney, and Lynn Jose, who will remember him fondly. Norman was preceded in death by his parents.

Norman Dale Brackney's spirit will live on through the countless memories he created and the lives he touched. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
