Nancy Nadine Williams

June 10, 1942 — January 8, 2024

Nancy Nadine (Starry) Williams was born June 10, 1942 in Adams County Iowa on the Starry farm near Williams, Iowa to Mary Agnes Cain and Ralph LaVern Starry. Nancy was the second of five children born to Ralph and Mary Starry.

Nancy attended Cromwell High School graduating in 1961 with honors. Nancy married Bill Williams in Lenox on September 3 of the same year at the United Methodist Church.

Soon after they moved to Omaha, Nebraska where Bill took employment with his cousin's car dealership what would become Baxter Motors.

After this move into the Benton Neighborhood of Omaha their son Kevin was born on April 1, 1964.

At a young age Kevin was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes at a time when little was known about this condition. Nancy took on the role of wife, mother, and caregiver learning all she could about diabetes and becoming active in the cure for this disease.

Outside of the home Nancy worked in the insurance industry in Omaha, working with Woodsman's and Blue Cross & Blue Shield. In her spare time she loved to be surrounded by her extended family. She took an interest in all of her nieces and nephews and looked forward to seeing them every chance she had up until her very last day. She was a surrogate mother and grandmother to many close friends. She enjoyed country music, trips to Branson, and adored her family.

Nancy departed her earthly body on January 8,2024 at MercyOne Hospital with the love and support of her care team and family
