Nancy Jeannette Sinopoli, 75, of Urbandale, Iowa, passed away on October 9, 2026, at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. She was born on September 22, 1951, in San Antonio, Texas, and graduated from Des Moines Lincoln High School.
Throughout her working years, Nancy held a variety of positions, including employment with ABC Record Company, AARP Pharmacy, and Home Depot. She also spent approximately 10 years working independently in home health care, dedicating her time to helping and caring for others.
Nancy had a lifelong appreciation for music and movies. She especially loved rock and roll and enjoyed collecting and listening to albums. Some of her fondest experiences came from her years living in California during the 1980s and 1990s, a time and place that held a special meaning in her life. Nancy also had a soft spot for animals, particularly her beloved cat, Eddy, who was an important companion in her life.
Nancy was the daughter of Victor George (Sinopoli) Donovan and Dorothy May Baker.
She is survived by her siblings, Rossan Smith, Thor Donovan, Linda Ray, and Roald Sinopoli, along with extended family and friends who will cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Hillary Sinopoli and Peary Sinopoli.
Nancy will be remembered for her love of music, her appreciation for a good movie, and the memories she made throughout her life's journey. Whether enjoying a favorite rock and roll album, reminiscing about her California days, or spending quiet moments with Eddy, Nancy found enjoyment in the things that made life uniquely hers.
Her life was filled with experiences and memories that will remain a part of her family's story. Nancy will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by those who knew and loved her.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation will take place through Simplify Cremations & Funerals, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens.
