Your journey here may now be through,
But all our love remains with you.
There was no limit to the love that you knew,
With a heart full of kindness and a mischievous grin.
You had a way of making everyone laugh,
And always joking around.
Your funny stories and humorous ways
Will live in our hearts for the rest of our days.
As a stepdad you became a cherished part,
Not just of our lives, but in our hearts.
To your grandchildren, you were laughter and fun,
A special Grandpa who will never be forgotten.
You were the love of her life and best friend,
Who never imagined life without you.
Until the day you meet once more,
Your laughter will echo in her heart.
And when she smiles through the tears someday,
She will know you are still with her that way.
So don't be sad when you think of him,
Just smile at the memories and the person he used to be.
For memories are treasures we carry inside,
That time can't take away.
When you hear laughter think of him,
When you look up at the sky you will see-
He is soaring with eagles, finally free.
