Michael Lynn Curry

Michael was the 4th of 5 children to Janet and Gerald Curry of Norwalk, IA on August 10th, 1965. He was taken from this world on March 11th, 2024 from idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

Michael graduated from Norwalk High School in 1984 and went on to get a degree in Culinary Arts from DMACC in Ankeny, Iowa. He finished the program in 1986. Following college he was a chef for various private clubs and hotels in the Des Moines area before moving to a career as a meat cutter on January 2nd 1989 for Dahl's Grocery.

Michael was married in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Sandra Boham in May of 1989. They proceeded to have 3 wonderful children: Emily, Grant, and Benjamin Curry, all currently living in the Des Moines area.

He was active in Boy Scouts with his two sons until they were both 18. He enjoyed camping, golfing, being with family, having a house full of people for a BBQ, and enjoying a few Natty Ice.

Michael is survived by his three children, ex-wife Sandra Curry, brother Mark Curry, sister Brenda Downard, and sister Bonnie Konrad. Preceded in death by parents Janet and Gerald and sister Cindy.

Celebration of life will be held at a later date at Swan Lake campground in Carroll, Iowa.
