Merlin Moon, born on March 13, 1937, in Des Moines, Iowa, was called home and passed away peacefully in his hometown on June 20, 2024, at the age of 87. Merlin was the beloved son of Jesse and Letty Moon (nee Webber).
Growing up in Iowa, Merlin developed a strong work ethic and a love for family, friends, and his community. He dedicated his professional life to working with his hands as a skilled craftsman and glazier. His enthusiasm for the sport was matched only by his love for golf and bowling, hobbies he enjoyed with friends and family throughout his life. Merlin's hard-working spirit, dedication, and love for life's simple pleasures will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of integrity, friendship, and fond memories. All who knew him knew of his tender heart and his faith in "the man above".
