Meri Beth Ringgenberg of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away peacefully the evening before her 60th birthday.
She lived with humor, courage, and an easy warmth that made people feel seen.
Born on October 28, 1965, in Des Moines, to Lester L. "Shorty" and Bernedene E. "Pete" Ringgenberg (McCoun). Meri Beth was known for her quick wit, open heart, and contagious laughter. She loved deeply, stood firm in who she was, and had a gift for finding beauty in the ordinary.
Her greatest pride was being mom to Nash, her beloved source of pride and constant support. A year before her passing, she said goodbye to Molly, her loyal canine companion and faithful shadow, whose presence and devotion sparked joy in her everyday.
Those left to cherish her memory are her surviving siblings, Jack Ringgenberg and Patti Tyler; Aunt Vicci (Carl) Blackford; Sister-in-law, Jody Ringgenberg; Nieces/nephews, Tammy Canney; Rob Ringgenberg; Michelle (Joe) Critchlow; Michael Swinehart (II); Cass (Brad) Edwards; Sara (James) Rolley; Megan (Rex) Reynolds; Jason (Milisa) Tyler; Justin (Katie) Lincoln, along with many cousins, loved ones and friends.
Meri Beth was preceded in death by her father and mother; siblings, Rex Ringgenberg; Michael Swinehart; Sheela Lincoln; Aunts' Mary Lou Riggle, Virginia (Bob) Stegemann; Pat Elliot, uncle Dan McCoun; sisters-in-law, Kathy Swinehart; Marilyn Ringgenberg; niece, Angela Pirnot; nephew, Matthew Ringgenberg.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, November 4, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Simplify, 4821 SW 9th St, Des Moines, IA 50315, followed by a graveside service at Pine Hill Cemetery, 524 NW 54th Ave, Des Moines, IA 50313.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to her son to help cover funeral expenses.
