Mark Alan Mcmurry

Mark Alan McMurry passed away on May 2nd 2024 at the Taylor House with his family by his side.

Mark was born on May 15th 1950 in Des Moines IA to Marvin and Athalene (Heck) McMurry. He was a devoted member of the Elks Lodge 98 for many years. Mark enjoyed spending time with family and friends, whether at the races, golfing, hunting or watching his grandchildren with their many activities. Mark was a huge Nascar fan and was always watching for Earnhardt to make his move. He loved being in the garage, having a cold beer and working on anything he could or just watching TV. Which was probably something racing or Iowa Hawkeyes.

Mark is survived by his wife Janice, son Mark, grandchildren; Elliana and Hayden, and brother Mike. Mark is preceded in death by his mother Athalene Heck.

The family will be holding a celebration of life at the Elks Lodge 98 in Pleasant Hill at a later date.
