Margaret Ann Woodhead

Margaret Ann Woodhead, 79, of Ankeny, Iowa, passed away on March 1, 2026.

Margaret was born on April 27, 1946, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Edward and Edith Murray. She was raised in Iowa and attended high school at St. Joseph's Academy.

Throughout her working years, Margaret built a diverse and meaningful career in nursing, and retail. She worked for One Hour Martinizing, Lancaster County Manor, and Sam's Club, where she was known for her strong work ethic and commitment. She spent 15 years at her longest-held position before retiring in 2021.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Dennis Madren, Dennis Woodhead, and son Michael Reeves. She cherished her role as mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother above all else.

She is lovingly remembered by her children: Shawn Fredrick, BobbiJo Dille, Jacqueline Clair, and Michael Woodhead. Her grandchildren: Joe Vandervort, Nathan Dille, Abby Mogle, Candis Camarigg, Mackinzie Clair, Megan Clair, Jacob Fredrick, Jaden Fredrick, Carlie Fredrick, Christopher Woodhead, and Meghan Tebo. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Ethan, Remi, Riley, Joy, Memphis, Miles, Maren, and Chymeria.

Margaret found joy in arts and crafts, outdoor activities, charitable work, and especially in spending time with her family and friends. Her warmth, generosity, and dedication to those she loved will be deeply missed.

Margaret's life was a testament to resilience, love, and devotion to family. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.

A celebration of life will be held at her daughter's home in Ankeny from 3:00 to 6:00 pm on Saturday, March 7, 2025.
