Marcia Borgerson

Marcia Borgerson, 74, of Des Moines, IA, passed away peacefully at Broadlawns Medical Center on March 17, 2025.

Marcia was born on August 17, 1950, the daughter of Lester Laverne and Katherine Ann (Fitch) Swinehart in Des Moines, IA. She attended school in the Des Moines area and graduated from East High School in 1968. In her younger years, she enjoyed being outside and fishing. Marcia was united in marriage to Tom Borgerson in Brownsville, Texas in 1969. Marcia worked many different jobs through the years at Unity Point Methodist Hospital, and most recently was a Unit Clerk. She spent 55 years working for Methodist. Marcia retired in 2020 and enjoyed retirement at home.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Survivors include her brothers: Steven (Nancy) Swinehart and Mark (Deb) Swinehart; sisters: Rita Comparo, Kathy Mongar, and Colleen Vonk.
