Lisa Ann Chiodo

Lisa Ann Chiodo, 63, of Panora, died Thursday, September 28, 2023, at the Kavanagh House in Des Moines.

Lisa was born August 9, 1960, in Pittsburgh, PA, the daughter of Santo and Margaret (Totin) Chiodo.

She grew up on the Southside of Des Moines.  Lisa graduated from Lincoln High School in 1978.  After high school she went and worked for Northwestern Bell from 1978 - 1998.  Lisa then went and built a career with Interstate Batteries.

Lisa was a fiercely, loyal friend and her zest for life included golfing, boating and any activity where she could be with her people.  She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Iowa Hawkeyes fan.

Lisa was a special and unique person with an energy and outlook on life that was infectious.  She was so loved and will be missed by everyone who knew her.

Lisa is survived by her brother, Angelo (Chong) Chiodo of Ankeny; her Des Moines family, Joe, Julie, Tiffany (BrIan), Joey (Britt), Hannah, Alex and Raelee;  many cousins and a host of good friends in Panora and Des Moines.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Santo.

Per Lisa's wishes, cremation has been accorded and there will be no formal services.

Lisa knew she received the best care with Dr. Tom Buroker & staff at John's Stoddard Cancer Center.

Lisa's last request was for donations to be given to John's Stoddard Cancer Center.
