Linda Simms

Linda Brady Simms went to sleep peacefully at home after a short battle with Lymphoma cancer, July 7, 2026 surrounded by family. Linda was born March 31, 1941 to Herman and Mary Caroline (Fitzpatrick) Brady of Carbondale, Iowa.

Linda went to a one room school house in Carbondale, Iowa and then attended East High School where she graduated in 1962.

Linda then went to work at AMF and then joined Kmart as a supervisor which she eventually left to work only at AMF. Linda left AMF which eventually moved down south. Linda then went to R&R Donnelly which also eventually also closed so she retired. Linda worked at Image Tek and then fully retired.

Linda had four beautiful daughters Melodie Brady, Denise Brady, Stephanie (Brady) McFarland, and Michelle Brady. Linda met Robin after having her daughters. Linda married Robin Simms III on November 26, 1976.

Linda is leaving behind her sister, Gail (Bob) Jons (Brady); three daughters, Melodie Brady, Stephanie McFarland (Will), and Michelle Brady; grandchildren, Lindsey(Branden) Brady, Kevin Brady, Justin Brady, Derek (Rachel) Brady, Nicole Brady, Joshua Davis, and Kyle Reasoner; seventeen great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Mary Caroline Brady(Fitzpatrick); sisters and brother, MaryKay Wells, Fran Clark and Charles Brady; husband, Robin Simms III; daughter, Denise Brady; and great granddaughter, Miracole Brady.

Burial will be at Rising Sun Cemetery; grave side and date will be announced for September 2026.
