Kim Marie Stewart

Kimberlyee Marie Stewart was born on January 30, 1958 in Des Moines to Bertha Mae and Leo Vernon McCann. Kim passed away on May 28, 2023 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines at the age of 65. Kim will be remembered as a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

Kim enjoyed playing darts, bingo, singing karaoke, and playing cards with her sisters and longtime friend Patty Payne. She also loved her monthly dinners with her siblings, as well as spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Kim leaves behind to treasure her memory her daughters, Angela (Lonnie) Cole, and Jannessa Stewart; son, Jesse Stewart; sisters, Cheryl (Tom) Williams, and Debbie (Sonny) Littell; brother, Charles McCann; grandchildren, Cody (Cassy) Mallory, Austin Gonzalez, Alexis Rodriguez and Katelynne Rodriguez; great grandchildren, Hailey, Dalton, Zayden and Gabriella; along with many more extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Stewart; two sons, Joseph and Robert Stewart; and her parents, Bertha Mae and Leo Vernon McCann.

The family of Kimberlyee Marie Stewart wishes to gratefully acknowledge with sincere gratitude the acts of love and kindness during their time of grief.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 5, 2023 at Simplify Cremations and Funerals (4821 SW 9th St. Des Moines, Iowa) with visitation taking place one hour prior beginning at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the Chapel Hill Cemetery in Des Moines. Memorials may be directed to the family for a future designation.
