Kenneth Reed

Kenneth James Reed, 86, passed away August 26, 2024 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.  A private interment will be held at Iowa Veterans Cemetery.

Kenneth was born August 11, 1938 the son of James and Doris Reed in St. Louis, Missouri. He served in the United States Air Force. He love to bowl, fish, golf and play cards with his neighbors. Enjoyed eating seafood and celebrating special events eating lobster. Always looked forward to dancing with Sharon and drinking with his father-in-law Frank. Most recently had many memories made with the Blue Horseshoe gang (John, Jen, Michael, Megan, Hector, Lehaand and Nancy). Recently won the Spring Tuesday Night bowling trophy with Nancy! Said he will miss all and wants people to remember to "enjoy life".

Kenneth is survived by his son Scott Reed; grandchildren, Zachary Scott Reed and Allie Paige Reed, and great granddaughter, Haisley Willie Reed. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Harold Palmer.
